Artist - Anne Blundell

I was born and lived for many years in Southport, Lancashire and now still live in the North West where I find much of my inspiration for painting. I am interested in painting both Landscapes and Floral work and if the two are combined that is even better. I do work in oils and watercolour but mainly acrylics because I love the range of textures and interesting effects you can achieve with them. Some of my work is very stylised and painted in contemporary colours, which has proved to be very popular. I am constantly learning new techniques and experimenting with exciting use of different media and styles of painting and am very much inspiration led. If I see something that inspires, a scene, a flower or play of light or colour I have this need to paint it. I don’t always seem to catch the atmosphere but I keep trying.
