  • These paintings of surfers are representative of work done for a one-man exhibition at the Royal Cornwall Museum. Called ‘New Wave’ the exhibition was displayed to mark the Year of the Sea, in 2005. The museum purchased the painting ‘Impact’ for the public collection and it is featured in a book called Oil Paintings in Public Ownership, Cornwall Isles of Scilly.
    Living near the cliffs and surfing beaches of West Cornwall, I am inspired to paint my surroundings and the people in them. The force of the sea and the contortions of surfers performing gravity defying feats, makes a powerful subject to explore.
