Artist - Brian Petri

I was born in Fife in 1952, and trained in Graphic Design and Print at Napier College in Edinburgh during the end of the sixties and into the seventies. After 25 years as a magazine designer with a large publishing house, I left to become a full time painter and cartoonist in 1995. As well as painting landscapes and coastal views from around Scotland, in oils acrylics and watercolours, I produce a daily topical cartoon for the Scottish Sun. I am constantly inspired by the view from my studio overlooking the waves at Westhaven, the sunrises and sunsets over the North Sea and the river Tay along with the ever changing mood of the East coast skies
